Your desert trek in Merzouga around the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi is a fascinating Sahara adventure. Walk across vast dunes and remote desert landscapes while experiencing breathtaking sunsets that bathe the sand in warm golden colors.
In the evenings, camp in the desert with your guide, enjoy traditional Moroccan meals by the campfire, and listen to stories about the nomadic Berber culture. Under the clear night sky filled with stars, the silence of the Sahara creates unforgettable moments.

Program
Your journey through Morocco begins in Marrakech, where the vibrant souks and the famous Djemaa el Fna square awaken the senses. From there, travel across the Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate and the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, before continuing through oasis landscapes to Erfoud and the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga. A desert trek through the Sahara offers unforgettable sunrises and sunsets before the journey leads back to Marrakech, completing this diverse Moroccan adventure.
Day 1 – Welcome to Morocco
Individual arrival in Marrakech
You will be welcomed at the airport by your driver and transferred to your hotel in the city.
Depending on your arrival time, there will be an opportunity for your first sightseeing experiences.
Overnight stay in a 3-star hotel or riad, incl. breakfast / approx. 10 km transfer.
Day 2 – Through the High Atlas
Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura
Drive from Marrakech across the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) through the High Atlas. Along the way, visit the famous Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage kasbah and famous film location. Continue via Ouarzazate to the oasis of Skoura.
Approx. 240 km drive
Overnight stay in a traditional riad, incl. breakfast and dinner.
Day 3 – From Oasis Valleys to the Sahara Desert
Skoura - Dades Tal - Tinghir (Todgha Schlucht) - Erfoud - Merzouga
Travel along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley and Tinghir. Visit the impressive Todgha Gorge, where cliffs rise up to 400 meters above the canyon. Continue to the desert oasis of Merzouga, where your camel caravan awaits and your Sahara adventure begins.

Day 4–6 – Desert Trekking
From Sand- to stone-desert
Your three-day desert adventure leads through the vast dunes and rocky landscapes of the Sahara. Daily hikes of around 4–6 hours allow you to explore the desert at a relaxed pace and enjoy quiet evenings around the campfire under a star-filled sky.

Day 7 – Through the Land of the Ait Atta
Merzouga to Tazzarine
Today you say goodbye to your caravan and continue through the Anti-Atlas, homeland of the Ait Atta Berbers. Travel through desert oases and discover the unique landscapes of this historic region.

Day 8 – From the Draa Valley across the Atlas
Tazzarine to Marrakech
Today’s drive takes you through the landscapes of the Anti-Atlas, the green Draa Valley, and across the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech.

Day 9 – Majestic Imperial City of Marrakech
City Tour of Marrakech
Explore the vibrant Medina of Marrakech on a guided city tour. Visit the famous Djemaa el Fna square, wander through colorful souks, and discover highlights such as the Bahia Palace and the Ben Youssef Madrasa.
Overnight stay in a 3-star hotel or riad (e.g. Riad Dar El Masa or similar), incl. breakfast.
Day 10 – Marrakech – Day at Leisure
Day for yourself
Today is free for you to experience Marrakech at your own pace. Wander through the Medina and its colorful souks, visit the Majorelle Gardens or Menara Gardens, or relax in a traditional Moroccan hammam.

Day 11 – Farewell to Morocco
Individual departure
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Morocco. Transfer to the airport and individual departure.
